Growing Our Impact: 70,000+ Trees and Counting

Since launching our tree planting initiative, we’ve been committed to making a measurable, long term environmental and social impact alongside our savings products.

For every new savings account opened, we plant a tree — a simple action designed to create lasting benefit over time.

Our progress so far -🌱 70,130 trees have been planted to date!

This progress reflects sustained customer participation, rather than a one off milestone, and demonstrates the collective impact that can be achieved through everyday financial decisions.

Supporting communities as well as the environment

Our tree planting programme doesn’t stop at environmental restoration. Through our partnership with Ecologi, local villagers are paid to plant and nurture the trees, helping to provide reliable income and alleviate extreme poverty within their communities.

This approach ensures that:

  • Trees are protected and maintained long term
  • Ecosystems are restored responsibly
  • Local people directly benefit from the work

Looking ahead

Reaching our initial target early allows us to build on this momentum. As a result, we have set a new goal:

100,000 trees planted by the end of 2026

This reflects our ongoing commitment to measurable, responsible impact — delivered gradually and sustainably.

How to get involved further

If you’d like to plant additional trees beyond the one we’ve planted on your behalf, you can do so via Ecologi.
