Company
information

Founded in 2012 with the backing from US private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Co, Castle Trust (as it was known back then) offered investment products and specialist mortgage finance. The business has since evolved with the acquisition of Omni Capital Retail Finance in 2017, adding point of sale retail finance to its range of services. In June 2020 we were issued our banking licence and became Castle Trust Bank. Our product proposition now consists of savings accounts, specialist mortgage/property finance and retail finance.

Savings – our Savings business line offers a variety of online savings accounts with a choice of terms and notice period options. From traditional fixed-rate and notice savings accounts, to tax-free ISAs and notice accounts, our growing portfolio of products caters for both new and existing customers, serving over 26,500 customers.

Property – our Property business line offers customers a range of products with specialist mortgage needs, from buy-to-let to shorter-term bridging finance, we have the experience and appetite to make lending decisions based on the individual’s circumstances. Our products are distribution led via authorised financial intermediaries, working with an impressive portfolio of brokers.

Retail Finance – our retail finance business line, Omni Capital Retail Finance, delivers simple and effective point of sale payment solutions for retailers and customers. Working across a diverse range of sectors, Omni partners with 2,000 retailers nationwide with tailored solutions to meet the needs of their customers that allow them to spread the cost of purchases that help improve their lives. ‘Powering purchases. Improving lives’.

We continue to thrive through high net promoter scores, demonstrating our commitment in providing an exceptional service to our retail partners and customers. All of this continues to provide a springboard for future growth – something incredible for you to be part of and to help us achieve our aim – to be The Place to Work, The Place to Invest and The Place to do Business.

Departments and teams

At Castle Trust Bank, we are a diverse and dynamic organisation composed of several key departments and specialist teams. Each department plays a crucial role in driving our mission forward and contributing to our success. Find out more about the core areas where you can make an impact by clicking the link below.

Our Basingstoke office

Basingstoke is our hub – the majority of our business operates from here with c.200 colleagues, the majority of whom live in the district of Basingstoke and Deane. We work hard to make Castle Trust Bank a great place to work and we know colleagues want to live in a vibrant community. We are proud to be immersed in local outreach, working in partnership with Destination Basingstoke who deliver a range of cultural events and support local businesses.

Our London office

We have a corporate HQ in the impressive Tower 42 in the City of London. A number of the Finance team (Regulatory Reporting / Treasury) along with Risk, and Legal are based here within close proximity of the Bank of England.

How we work

Whilst some of our teams work full time from the office to provide the best service to our customers, a number of our teams benefit from a hybrid working model (3 office days / 2 remote days) where possible. Our Sales / Commercial teams are based in the field, working closely with our retail customers and lending brokers.

What makes us unique

When you join one of our teams, you become part of the Castle Trust Bank family on the exciting and rewarding path we’re taking. We’re a diverse and inclusive Bank, being proud members of the Women in Finance Charter, Disability Confident and Neurodiversity in Business, in addition to supporting our LGBTQ+ community and allies through our We are PROUD Network. We have strong values, providing quality products and services to our customers. Everyone who works here helps to create a unique culture which is critical to our success and helps us deliver our aim to be The Place to Work, The Place to Invest and The Place to do Business.

Our colleagues are our unique assets, they shape our culture which is often described as supportive yet challenging, where everybody has the opportunity to contribute and make a positive impact. We value collaboration and teamwork through role modelling our five Company Values.

We are passionate about colleague engagement and work tirelessly on actions from the various feedback mechanisms we have in place.
